Business Manager - Jersey

In this fast paced role no two days are the same.
Our ultimate goal is to keep internal & external customers at the heart of everything we do and to do this you need to be good at building strong relationships with customers big & small by really understanding their needs and creating solutions that work.
The exciting and challenging role of Business Manager is based on the island of Jersey.
You will have a successful track record of winning new accounts and growing existing business in line with budgeted expectations. You will have knowledge of the foodservice market and have excellent communication and presentation skills. You will be analytical with commercial acumen and be IT literate.
You’ll be responsible for developing sales opportunities with existing accounts by analysing territory sales data, minimising order losses and identifying and converting prospect accounts. In addition you’ll identify and develop profitable business with new Cimandis Foodservice customers in order to increase our market share and size of the market within the region.
You must bring a real passion with excellent selling skills,
and a proven ability to regularly exceed sales targets in your career to date. You’ll need to be a strong communicator at all levels with a flexible approach that demonstrates your ability to develop relationships with clients of different cultures and with different needs. This will also show us your ability to work just as easily on your own or as part of a mobile team, freely sharing your skills and knowledge.

Head of Commercial Buying - Jersey

About the Role
Our commercial team is a key function within Cimandis Foodservice.
This role has direct responsibility for ensuring product availability (FTOF) and maximising the long-term profitability of sales and margin. With responsibility for managing a team of 3 people, working in partnership with all internal teams and establishing successful supplier relationships.
The role will contribute to ensuring that Cimandis Foodservice maintains a highly competitive position.
Importantly, this role will work towards delivering the overall commercial strategy and plans which ultimately drives excellence in customer service and the company’s overall sales and profit targets.
The business targets the recruitment of high calibre individuals who are entrepreneurial, commercially astute and multi-skilled with the energy and drive to ensure purchasing strategies are well negotiated and implemented.
You will be a ‘hands-on’ self starter with the ability to lead and motivate team and peers. You will have excellent proven influencing and negotiating skills in managing product costs and income generation as well as the ability to develop, manage and implement category plans. You will be able to manage supplier relationships whilst achieving your short and long term budgeted targets.
You must be able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, with a collaborate approach and above all be able to multi task in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be required to demonstrate an aptitude for financial acumen in managing your budgets. Purchasing and leadership experience is essential, preferably within the Foodservice/ Wholesale sector.
